# A popular way of entering Nepal is at the border with India. There are entry points at Kakkarbhitta (West Bengal), Biratnagar (Bihar), Birgunj (Bihar), Sunauli, Nepalgunj, Dhanagadi and Mahendranagar (all across the border from Uttar Pradesh). Bus services are available from all these border points.
|Hostel Info||The Phulbari hostels have a dining hall, canteen, gym, TV, indoor sports in the basement and 6 floors of residential accommodation. There are separate hostels for men and women. The rooms are planned for twin occupancy and each has an attached bathroom and balcony.|
The junior students are accommodated in the hostels at the Deep Campus. The hostel rooms are provided with the furniture and other amenities like geysers for hot water.
Students are required to bring their own bed linen. During the winters the minimum temperature is around 6 degrees Celcius, so warm clothing, blankets / quilts are needed. Housekeeping and laundry are provided.
Messes in the campus provide Indo-Nepali vegetarian / non-vegetarian food. The monthly mess bill is approx NPRs 3,500/- for four meals a day.

1. Deep Campus

The second, Phulbari Campus, is a 30-acre campus, and has a 825-bed multi-speciality teaching hospital.
The 750-bed capacity Manipal Teaching Hospital (MTH) is a 7 storey building with a total built up area of 5 lakh sq ft. It is magnificent edifice, blending modernity with the traditional Nepali style of architecture. The outpatient services were inaugurated in September 1998 and inpatient services started in January 1999, with modern diagnostic facilities and support services for secondary and tertiary level medical problems. MTH has been constructed with a futuristic approach laying emphasis on the space required for teaching programs for the undergraduates, postgraduates and allied health manpower. Manipal Teaching Hospital is set up with state of the art facilities for superior medical education and healthcare.
